クラス紹介：サイモン先生のクラス Speaking Practice
こんにちは！今回のクラス紹介は語学センターに新しく加わるサイモン先生のクラスです
サイモン先生は午前集中英語講座レベル１、レベル２の中からSpeaking PracticeとPublic Speakingのクラスを受け持ちます。今回はそのうちのSpeaking Practice のご紹介
About the course generally:
Speaking Practice is a really fun and engaging class that will develop your ability to have basic conversations in English. We start each topic by covering by listening to an entertaining dialogue that provides an example of the language we are going to be practicing. We then together make a diagram on the board of the language we need, and after that we jump right into some really fun communicative activities in pairs and small groups. Our first activity sticks quite close to the language patterns on the board, to give us plenty of practice, and then we gradually free things up so we can relax and enjoy talking to each other in English about the topic. The great thing about learning to speak is that you need to do lots of talking to practice, and talking is fun! So this is a great course to begin with and you'll soon be feeling really confident about chatting in English! See you in class!

Speaking Practiceは英語で基礎的な会話ができるよう訓練する、興味をひくような本当に楽しいクラスです。毎回それぞれのトピックを始めるときには、これからどのようなものを勉強するのか例を知るために、面白い会話を聴くことから始めます。それから一緒にその言葉を図に表していき、楽しいおしゃべりのアクティビティをペアとグループに分かれてどんどん行っていきます。私たちの最初のアクティビティは、たくさん練習するために始めは図の通りに行っていきますが、そのあとはだんだん自由にしていき、お互いが英語でリラックスして楽しみながら会話をできるようにしていきます。スピーキングを学ぶうえで素晴らしいことは、練習するためにたくさん話す必要があるということです。そして話すことは楽しいです！ですから、このクラスは英語を始めるうえでとってもよいクラスで、すぐに英語で話すことに自信を感じるようになっていくでしょう！それではクラスで会いましょう！
About the textbook
In Speaking Practice we will use the textbook Fifty Fifty Book One, which is a really fun and entertaining textbook for beginning English conversation. The whole book is laid out in a really friendly way, with charming comics to illustrate the language points, and the listening exercises are really clear, give lots of examples of the language we are learning, and have their own gentle humor that always gets students laughing. Next comes the partnered speaking exercises that are really cleverly designed to give you lots of practice with the new language we are learning. Finally I have added a number of freer practice exercises that give you the chance to relax and talk to each other in fun activities that build your confidence through lots (and lots and lots!) of practice talking. Overall Fifty Fifty Book 1 is a great way to begin to feel really confident using English for free conversation.

Speaking Practice のクラスでは、Fifty Fifty Book Oneという、英会話を始めるうえでとても楽しい教科書を使います。かわいいマンガで言葉のポイントが説明されていたりしてとても親切に説明がされていますし、とても聞きやすいリスニング問題があったり、学んでいる言葉についてたくさんの例があったり、そしてこの教科書独特のユーモアで生徒はいつも笑っています。二人一組になって行うスピーキング練習では、学んでいる新しい言い回しについて練習できるよう非常によくつくられています。そして、たくさんの会話練習（本当にたくさん練習します！）で自信をつけるような楽しいアクティビティを通して、みなさんがリラックスして話せる、たくさんの自由問題も課します。全般的に見て、Fifty Fifty Book 1は自由な会話のなかで英語を使う自信を感じるためにぴったりな教科書です。
