モニターによるクラス紹介：Ana先生のクラス
TOEFL Speakingクラスのレポートです。

今回はSpeakingセクションの練習問題にいくつかトライしました。
そのうちの1つを紹介します。
1つの題材についてReading passageとListening passageが与えられた後、次の設問がされます。
How does the information in the listening passage add to the information in the reading passage?
（使われた題材は、(小説)Catch-22, Joseph Heller (1961)についてのもの）
回答のテクニックとしては；
①Reading passageとListening passageのTopicを掴む。
例えば、
Reading passage ⇒ What is the novel about ?
⇒ How the novel achieved success ?
（小説についての概要説明）
Listening passage ⇒ Significance of title
（タイトルについての説明）
②設問をよく理解する
設問を理解し、考えをまとめるに当たっては４つのKey wordを意識して、、
Argue, challenge, cast doubt, compare
③回答のフレーム例としては
In this set of materials, the reading passage describes the novel Catch-22, and the listening passage adds to this information by ….
The reading describes what the novel Catch-22 is….
The listening passage adds to this information by explaining ….
のような流れです。

じっくり深く思考を巡らした110分間でした。
